Ketika kita kecil, every little things fascinates us, somehow. Mulai dari lilin, serangga, batu, awan, hujan, sepatu, i could go on and on. Funny that now we’re older, semuanya baru menarik kalau telah dinamai. Scented candle bernama Altru, air bernama Evian, dan sepatu bernama Jimmy, Manolo, dan Tory.
Instead of being fascinated by things around us, we now try so hard to fascinate others by thing on us

Once upon a time, a man was walking along a beach. In the distance, he saw a little girl. She was bending down and picking something up. Then she would throw it into the ocean, smile, and do it all again.
As he approached, he asked her, “what are you doing, little girl?”
“I’m saving this starfish that has been stranded here by the tide,” she said as she picked up a starfish and threw it back into the ocean”
“But little girl,” the man cried, “there are hundreds of stranded starfish on this beach alone. And there are thousands of beaches like this one. You can’t make difference by rescuing one star fish!”
The little girl smiled. She reached down, picked up a starfish, and hurled it into the ocean. “I made a difference to that one,” she replied.
this story was taken from Stever Robbins’s book.
Well, the moral of the story is admirable: Any action, no matter how small, can matter.
